On the face of it they looked pretty good. However, dig a little deeper and new questions arise, such as what do they really mean when there has been a lot of one-off cost savings up to the third quarter? Enjoy the discussion and make sure to read the accompanying research which has been written on the back of this video. You can read this online or download the pdf.

    Excellent report.Very informative.

  2. Frank Halpin says:

Surelly PPI is a one-off cost so that when it drops off the balance sheet it isn’t really a saving, it is just an expense that hasn’t been incurred and hopefully can be forgotten about?

    • Adam King says:

      Hi Frank,

Thank you for your query, I spoke to Ravi about this and he provided a quick sentence as below:

‘PPI related expenses have been incurred for a number of years now hence not a one off, a provision is being made against PPI which may be revised up later.’

What’s your thoughts on the matter?

      Adam.

Are the recent activities in these companies a positive indication for a longterm investment prospect?

  4. M Pegg says:

Hi Terry I’d like to know the significance of the bank buying back it’s shares why would it want to do that?
