The weather couldn’t stop Luca & Damien completing the half marathon with great times…
Over the previous weekend, the weather was fantastic across London, with Saturday being hot and Sunday even hotter, it’s fair to suggest that everyone got the chance to enjoy some of the sun, especially after the puzzling snow and hail we saw the week prior.
Luca & Damien completed their Hackney Half Marathon despite working against the glorious sunshine, with Luca’s completion time of 1hr 56m and Damien just in front, with 1hr 52m.
Both commented on the added difficulty caused by the heat glaring down upon them and the other runner’s, but they were jubilant with the times they scored and even happier about the total monetary value raised for our partner charity, Together for Short Lives.
With your support as donators and the friends & family of the runners, they have so far raised £1,225 which will help those unfortunate children with life-threatening illness or disease, who need the help most.

The Justgiving page we set up is still running and we would love to continue to help the charity, the initial target was £1,000, but we see that as the first target of many – every donation will help all the more. So we are politely asking, if you haven’t done so already and would love to help those less fortunate, please donate to our page where all the funds raised will assist the charity.
